Mindfulness is considered the heart of Buddist meditation. But its essence is universal and of deep practical benefit of all beings.

Meditation is about paying attention to what is in the present moment without being caught by the moment, attachet to it. Just watching from the center what is going on in the system of this body mind.

One could maybe also call it ”the art of listening to the heart”So rather than withdrawing from the world, meditation can help you to live your life more fully, more effectively and more peacefully. Metta is the Pali word for friendship or lovingkindness.

It is taught as a meditation that cultivates our natural capacity for an open and loving heart.

With its roots in practices said to be taught by the Buddha himself, metta is traditionally offered along with meditations that enrich compassion, joy in the happiness of others and equanimity.

These practices lead to the development of concentration, fearlessness, happiness and a greater ability to love.
